Please full-screen the game and then click on it. I don't know why mouse-capturing is being funky when it's not in full-screen.
Also, the game is just going to run smoother and look better if you play the downloaded version, so you might try that if you experience some choppiness.

A barely-playable prototype of a game about saving up to buy a Pretendo Snap 2, the latest gaming console.

The goal is to spend as much time playing Plumber Racers Planet (the latest entry in Plumber Racers, Pretendo's best-selling franchise) as you can before you can't afford to pay your bills anymore.

It is far from complete, unbalanced, has less than zero QoL features, probably some bugs, and no performance optimization. So I guess you can expect it to be about as fun as the average AAA experience.

The only reason I'm uploading it now is because I promised myself I'd get something out by June 5th. Currently, assume everything is a placeholder (except maybe the furniture models. I'll definitely change the textures, though). While the core game loop is technically there, it needs a lot more work before it's actually fun. But I think this is enough to get a feel for my vision for the game, so let me know what you think!

The Plan:

There's so much I haven't done yet, it'd be a lot to list it all.
But if you're curious, here's just some of what I have planned:

For Plumber Racers Planet, I plan on ditching the procedural generation and instead making a hand-crafted world to explore, with some amount secrets and shortcuts to find.
On top of, y'know, making it an actual game. The current "game" is just to get a feel for and some feedback on the controls.
I hope to include some "roguelike" elements, with randomized items, such as fuel to keep your car going.

For the rest of the game, I plan to have random things go wrong in your apartment (your fridge goes out, the internet is down, etc.). I like the idea of maybe having to pick one thing to go wrong from a hand of cards every day.
Obviously you'll have more bills to pay (aside from just food like it is right now), and I want to include some satirical news articles/social media posts, and a dumb mobile game to keep you distracted before you have your Pretendo Snap.
