A barely-playable prototype of a game about managing your depressing life in order to save up for a Pretendo Snap 2 and play on it as much as possible.

Please full-screen the game and then click on it. I don't know why mouse-capturing is being funky when it's not in full-screen.
Also, the game is just going to run smoother and look better if you play the downloaded version, so you might try that if you experience some choppiness.

It is far from complete, unbalanced, has less than zero QoL features, probably some bugs, and no performance optimization. So I guess you can expect it to be about as fun as the average AAA experience.

The only reason I'm uploading it now is because I promised myself I'd get something out by June 5th. Currently, assume everything is a placeholder (except maybe the furniture models. I'll definitely change the textures, though). While the core game loop is technically there, it needs a lot more work before it's actually fun. But I think this is enough to get a feel for my vision for the game, so let me know what you think!

Controls:

View SmartwatchEL Shoulder
Move/Change Menu SelectionASWDL Joystick, D-pad
Select ItemLeft-ClickR Trigger
Exit Item/InterfaceRight-ClickL Trigger
Select Menu ItemSpaceA (Bottom Face)
Exit MenuShiftB (Right Face)
AccelerateSpaceA (Bottom Face)

In Alpaca Khang, use the move/menu buttons to move. Hold the "Select Menu Item" button and then move to throw a rock if you're holding one.

ESC will free your mouse. Pressing ESC while your mouse is free will quit the game.

The Plan:

Plumber Racers Planet (the previous minigame for the Pretendo) is on hold for the time being. It was getting too big in it's own right, and the whole idea of this game was to make something that I could reasonably manage solo. It has been replaced with Alpaca Khang: Digfest.

There's so much I haven't done yet, it'd be a lot to list it all.
But if you're curious, here's just some of what I have planned:

I'd like to fully flesh out Alpaca Khang: Digfest, and make it a fun arcade game in it's own right. At the moment it's more of a mechanical demo/proof of concept. It obviously needs more enemy types, more level layouts, more powerups, some music, better animations, etc.

For the rest of the game, I plan to have random things go wrong in your apartment (your fridge goes out, the internet is down, etc.). I like the idea of maybe having to pick one thing to go wrong from a hand of cards every day.
Obviously you'll have more bills to pay (aside from just food like it is right now), and I want to include some satirical news articles/social media posts, and a dumb mobile game to keep you distracted before you have your Pretendo Snap.
