What's New in 0.IX.0:
- New levels!
- Levels I and J
- A new boss battle!
- A lot of secret levels
- Lot's of small improvements!
- Map now focuses on current level the first time.
- New confirmation dialog boxes when interacting with the map and when loading a new game.
- Player "shift" shader has been improved.
- It also looks a bit better when the player has touched a gem.
- Player dash has been tweaked.
- New mechanics! Not all are implemented in currently available levels, though.
- New bugs, hooray!
A Big One!
This update may not seem like a lot, but it felt like a big one to me. This is the longest I've gone before releasing something, but I wanted it to be a substantial update.
While there's only two more "main" levels, there's somewhere around eight new "secret" levels. Secrets are a big part of this game, as you'll see if you play anything past the first ten levels. Really, they aren't even "secret" levels so much as alternate paths.
So, while the main path may not have received a lot of content, I still feel like a lot of progress was made.
I may not update it again for a little while. I'm trying to focus on making updates bigger, which makes them less often. Hopefully next I will have added a third boss. And, as I mentioned, there are some mechanics I have implemented that aren't in levels yet, so that should give me plenty to go off of for more levels.
