Small Progress Update (Announcement)


Man, it's been awhile since I've posted a devlog.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead, and that I haven't stopped working on Dimenshift...

...entirely, anyway.

Progress was getting slow. It seems like Dimenshift is so close to done, and yet there's still a lot to do. This game was supposed to be done in a few months, (ha!) and it won't be long before I've been working on it for a year. And man am I ready to be done with it.

So, when I had an idea for a new project, one I thought that I could get done quickly (ha!) I decided to take a break from Dimenshift for a bit, and work on something else. Hopefully when I get back to Dimenshift, I'll be motivated again and more productive. Plus, it'd probably be better if I didn't cram for the last few levels just to get it done.

But don't worry! Dimenshift isn't cancelled, (and not technically delayed, since there's no release date yet anyway), and I plan to get back to it once I'm "done" with this new project (hopefully in a week or two, but knowing me that'll likely turn out to be a month).

So this new project? I'll be uploading the alpha to itch.io within the next few days. It's a tower defense game, but no ordinary one :)

I don't plan to finish this project completely before I get back to Dimenshift, I just want to get a somewhat polished prototype out.
